    Think about small touches that will bring you joy, personal touches like family photos can be added to your mantle. Think about comfort foods to get you through your hibernation time! Freshly baked good will give you added satisfaction and fill your home with wonderful smells. If thing seems like too much work, just get some of your favourite seasonal snacks in! Of course, this means a warming hot beverage to such as a chai tea or hot chocolate.

    Take the time to visit your local independent bookstore (of course we love to support small businesses!) and check out their latest offerings to allow you to curl up by the fire with a good book – bliss! Find a “reading nook” by your fire so cosy up, this might be your favourite armchair or simply by moving around some of the furniture for an instant interior update.

    Think about how the colours around you influence your mood. Warm hues such as deep earthy colours always give a feeling or warmth, resistant of your fire. If you are looking for something more contemporary how about some Scandi style with neutrals to create a calming atmosphere.
